About KidStuf/firstlook
A typical Sunday can include any of the following.
Teaching
We put our primary focus on teaching lessons that instill Godly principles through studying scripture while also applying weekly virtues. We use a combination of teaching Biblical principles, videos, story telling, object lessons, crafts, and games to help students learn the Bible and develop their trust and faith in God.
Bible Memory
With each virtue introduced is a Bible verse that applies to our lesson. Each student is encouraged to memorize the verse at home in addition to classroom instruction and activities. We work with the children to learn books of the Bible and then challenge them with "sword drills" to look up scripture verses and have them read aloud for the class for additional exposure to verses.
Worship
We are working to get the children involved with signing and motions to each song that we learn. We focus on the involvement of the children and try to make it a joyous and positive experience to worship God. We are also adding instruments to our program so that the kids can get involved in worship while learning how to sing and play music. We encourage kids to bring songs that they have learned at home in a time of special music before our lesson begins. We use this to encourage and build confidence while teaching children about worshiping with their hearts.
Activities
This is the most broad category and you have to bring your children and hang out with us to get a full scope of what we do! From crafts to relay races, to object lessons, story time, acting out Bible stories with costumes, and so much more! We love the kids that come here and we are blessed to be able to share with them as we learn more about God.
