The Cherry Glade Youth Group:  "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times."  What else can be expected when you fling into the YouthCamp.jpg (21029 bytes)mixing bowl twenty to fifty young adults, two youth sponsor couples, one youth pastor and his wife, and one incredible God?

The high-spirited group is notorious for having the "best of times," including meeting Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons for a wide array of enjoyable activities such as New Year's party, service projects for those in need, mission trips, talent shows, and Youth Camp, to name a few.

The real strength of the youth group, however, is found in the continual challenge set before the group to grow in the love, knowledge, and wisdom of Jesus.  The youth find nurture in the frequent Bible studies and worship times held, as well as in solid relationships with friends.  And this, ironically enough, can be the "worst of times."  Pain enters as youth group members allow God to break them and then mold and reshape them into His likeness.  The beauty of this surrender is that, in the end, it leads to the true "best of times"; joy and fulfillment in living for His glory.
